About
A playful solid-wood stool defined by a deeply sculpted seat, three tapered legs, and an unmistakable doughnut-shaped silhouette.
The Doughnut Milking Stool was created out of a pure desire for fun. Inspired by the low, simple, and robust stools traditionally used by dairy farmers, the familiar three-legged form is reinterpreted as a compact sculptural object.
The solid-wood seat is machined into a softly rounded ring with a deep central opening. Its continuous curves highlight the natural grain of the selected wood and create a tactile surface designed to be appreciated from every angle.
Three tapered legs extend from beneath the seat and terminate in distinctive turned ball feet. Each leg is joined directly to the seat using traditional mortise-and-tenon construction, providing strength and stability while keeping the structure visually simple.
At 15 inches high, the Doughnut works as a low occasional seat, bedside table, small side stool, or sculptural object for an entryway, bedroom, or living space.
Available in solid walnut, Douglas fir, maple, poplar, or white oak. Each material brings its own colour, grain, and character to the rounded form.
