A compact sculptural stool that transforms a familiar utilitarian form through playful proportions and expressive solid-wood detailing.
The Clover Milking Stool was created out of a pure desire for fun. Inspired by the simple, robust stools traditionally used by dairy farmers, the archetypal three-legged form is reinterpreted with softened geometry, exaggerated feet, and a distinctly contemporary character.
The solid-wood seat is machined into a gently rounded clover-shaped form, with softened edges that emphasize the natural grain and invite touch. Three tapered legs create a stable tripod base and terminate in turned ball feet, giving the stool its lively silhouette.
Each leg is joined directly to the seat using traditional wedged mortise-and-tenon construction. The exposed joinery provides lasting structural strength while making the method of construction a visible part of the design.
At 18 inches high, the Clover works equally well as an occasional seat, bedside table, small side stool, or sculptural object in an entryway, bedroom, or living space.
Available in solid walnut, sapele, douglas fir, white oak, and red oak. Each wood gives the form a different expression through its individual colour, grain, and natural character.
