A compact sculptural side table that brings together Carrara marble, solid white oak, and hand-woven Danish cord.
The Captain’s Side Table features a round Carrara marble top framed by three substantial white oak legs. Their softly rounded profiles rise around the stone, creating the distinctive architectural silhouette shared throughout the Captain’s Table collection.
Below, a hand-woven Danish cord shelf creates a lighter, tactile counterpoint to the weight of the marble. Its triangular weave follows the three-legged construction, making the shelf an integral part of the form while providing a practical surface for books and objects.
The frame is constructed in solid white oak using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, with the joints pinned for additional strength and left visible as an expression of how the piece is made.
At 20 inches high with a compact 15-inch diameter, the table is well suited beside a sofa, lounge chair, or bed. Stone, wood, and woven cord each bring a distinct texture to the piece, balanced in a form designed to be appreciated from every angle.
